Respite Care

Respite Care Services are supportive services we provide to family Caregivers who need a break from their caregiving duties. This service is designed for families who generally have the caregiving covered, but occasionally needs some help while they take care of their own responsibilities (self-care, for example!).

Respite Care Services are designed to provide personal care to individuals who need help with their activities of daily living while their primary Caregiver is away. An initial assessment is required, but then, instead of regularly-scheduled services, Families can schedule as-needed care for the times when it is needed the most.

Families can always request a specific Caregiver, but due to irregular scheduling, families enrolled in Respite Care Services often will not see the same Caregiver with each visit. Respite Care Services include support with Personal Care Services, Meal Preparation, Medication Assistance, and some Chores and Housework; but unless otherwise arranged, companionship will generally take precedence over some chores.
